Streams that sort your work, a Home that says what needs you, and clearer factory runs

November 4, 2026

Clarabit now sorts every task and page into its stream, so work for one product, client or system stays together without anyone filing it by hand. Home opens on what needs you, with a chat to ask about your work. Every task says what to do next. Needs you asks less and says more plainly what it wants. And a factory run now reads top to bottom: what went in, what came out, and how it ran.

New: Clarabit sorts your work into streams

Why you should care: work for one product, client or system ends up scattered across titles and projects, and sorting it by hand never happens. Now Clarabit does it as the work comes in.

A stream is a line of work people follow as one thing: a product, a client or a system. Each task and page sits in one stream.

  • Filed as it's created: every new task and page goes into its stream, whether it was made on the web, from your AI app or by a factory. Clarabit says why ("Its title starts with Rufus", "Its spec page is in Rufus"). When the name doesn't settle it, an AI model reads the title and description to pick one. When Clarabit isn't sure, it leaves the work unsorted.
  • Kept tidy: once a day, Clarabit files older work it hasn't sorted yet, writes a one-line description for any stream without one, and suggests new streams or merges. You decide on each suggestion in Settings → Streams.
  • Make new streams without asking: a project can let Clarabit make the new streams it's sure of and file the work into them. It's off unless someone turns it on in Settings → Streams. Merging two streams always waits for you.
  • Streams look different from labels: a stream shows as a coloured dot with its name, and labels stay as pills. A task's stream has its own row in Details, with a picker to change it or clear it.

Filing is on for every project. To turn it off for a project, open Settings → Streams.

New: Home opens on what needs you

Why you should care: the first screen should answer "what do I need to do?", not make you go looking.

  • Needs your attention and Running now sit at the top of Home.
  • Ask about your work: the chat at the bottom of Home answers in plain words. Try What needs me?, My week or What's running, or tell it what you're working toward. Earlier conversations that still have a decision waiting show a count, so you know which one to come back to.
  • The map, when you want it: press Map to see your factories as a town and watch runs move through them. Press Dashboard to go back.
  • The old dashboard is now Activity, in the sidebar.

New: every task says what to do next

Why you should care: a task that sits still usually needs one decision. Now Clarabit names it.

Each task has a Next step box: what to do and why, for example Check it's still needed: close it or hand it off. Nothing has happened on it for 3 weeks. From the box you can claim the task, start it in Codex or Claude Code, or copy a prompt for any AI app.

Improved: Needs you asks less, in plainer words

  • Plain names: every item says what it is: Agent question, Approval, Factory run to accept, Spec to approve, Work to review or Check on staging.
  • Finished work says so: when a task's merge request was merged, or its last comment says it's done, the item says so and suggests closing it instead of asking again.
  • Dismissed means dismissed: an agent question you dismissed no longer comes back when the agent checks in.

Improved: factory runs that read top to bottom

  • In, Out, How it ran: a run page shows what went in, what came out, and then how it ran, in that order. It's the same in the side panel, and each fact appears once.
  • A failed run says why: a cloud run that stops says what went wrong in one sentence and what to do about it, and marks the step it stopped at, for example Stopped at step 2 (Draft the update).
  • Make a factory by hand: in Factories → New factory, choose Make it here. Fill in a name, what it's for, a project and the steps. Clarabit saves a draft for you to review and publish, the same as one proposed from your AI app.

Fixes

  • The Tasks and Pages lists show the latest changes when you come back to them with the browser's Back button.
  • A cloud factory run reads your connections only when the run is yours: scheduled for you, or started by you. A run requested by a teammate or another factory gets no access to your Google data, and nobody's connections are read after they leave the workspace.
  • Check on staging can only be approved for a task that is actually on staging.
  • Text a factory run writes keeps its formatting but no longer carries images or styling from the run's inputs.

Connector update

The cloud connector and the local MCP package are both on 2.19.0, so this release also works inside ChatGPT and Claude:

  • Streams in your AI app: ask for a project's stream map to see each stream, what's in it and what waits on you. Ask your AI app to sort a project and it runs the same Sort now pass as Settings → Streams. Accept or dismiss stream suggestions right in the chat.
  • Clarabit's next step in chats: when your AI app shows you a task, a run or something that needs you, it offers Clarabit's next step in one line and acts on it only after you say yes.
  • Links from cards open Clarabit signed in: Open in Clarabit on a card takes you straight to the page, without a sign-in screen.
  • More from the card: approve a spec, a code review or a check on staging; choose Not now or Close task on something in Needs you; and comment on a page.

If the new tools or cards don't appear, reconnect Clarabit in your AI app.
